V-Day Performance - First time in Nepal
December 01st, 2006 at Royal Nepal Academy
HELP/Nepal is proud to set on stage, for the first time in Nepal
and in Nepali, the worldwide known and poignant show "The Vagina
Monologues", inspired by Eve's Ensler book.
Hundreds of women told her their stories of rape, incest, domestic
battery and genital mutilation. It was clear that something
widespread and dramatic needed to be done to stop that violence.
WE DID IT!

SURVEY

Thus, V-Day was created; and, up to now, the theater-show has
been performed in over 80 countries. It has been distributing funds
to grassroots, national and international organisations and running
programs that work to stop violence against women and girls,
throughout the world, from Europe to Asia, Africa and the Americas.
Therefore, HELP/Nepal decided to take the lead in sensitising
Nepalese society on gender-related abuses and proudly joined the
main V-day goal: stopping violence against women and girls! (More
