The only adjectives you can find for this play is witty and irreverent, or better, compassionate and wise. It’s based on interviews with over 200 women about their real memories and experiences of sexuality and gives us real stories of intimacy, vulnerability and sexual self-discovery.

So that The Vagina Monologues become the voice and the mirror of the fantasies and fears of every women, encouraging and offering the only possible solution to their interior search and self success. Reading the Monologues, women will recognize in their vagina the centre, the starting point of their existence.

Ensler proclaims that a woman is her vagina, adding: “I didn’t need to find it (the vagina). I had to be it...be my vagina.”  Vagina represents the entirety of the woman in her personality, her experiences, her hopes, and her dreams. It is not only a simple organ but the source the origin and the meaning of existence of every woman. The Monologues are universal: no matters what country or what language because the audience’s response is the same.

The whole show is captivating, making the audience experiencing the issue. Speaking publicly breaks the silence, opening opportunity for action and change V-Day and HELP/Nepal are working to end violence against women and girls in all its forms – changing minds, changing laws, changing lives.
