GLOBAL LOCAL
Women do not
have an easy life in Nepal, especially after being victims of
discriminations and violence, not only physical but also
psychological. We are talking about violence that often, however,
are not perceived as that, just because made everlasting through
several generations and considered “habitual” aspects of the
interaction among the other sex.
Luckily, many
women are well aware of the problems affecting their lives in the
Nepali society and they want to break the silence that surrounds
them, disseminating a new awareness: women do not have to be
punished just because women, their rights have to be fully
respected.
We want to be part of this social awareness process at
the national level and therefore HELP/Nepal is committing itself in
organising and promoting an outstanding event: V-Day.
